• Mezcal Vago produces their mezcals in palenques dispersed throughout the mountain outskirts of Zoquitlan, Oaxca. Small, traditional production still reigns supreme in these areas. This mezcal takes their classic Espadin expression and macerates it with toasted Mexican corn. This is the celebration mezcal for distiller Aquilino García López and his family. It has a nose full of smoky toasted corn and dry river stones. The body is sweet with wood tones and layers of honeycomb, green tropical fruit, and smoke. It has a prolonged finish of mint and papaya, with the toasted corn creating a creamy, soft mouthfeel that is truly tasty.
